Welcome to the tiny town of Bugling Bulls, PA, home to--
among other eccentrics--a cross dressing mailman, a seventy-eight year old racy romance novelist, and a shotgun-blasting witch. Originally dubbed Pepper's Run by its founder, the town fell on hard times when Pepper Mueller's logging and sawmill enterprise went belly up, and Pepper ran off with a local barmaid. Unfortunately, that left disgruntled residents to find work elsewhere. Happily, a few decades after Rocky Mountain elk were introduced in the area to replace the hunted-to-extinction eastern elk herd, the area became a huge tourist draw. Pepper Run's elk-rich, money poor citizens acted quickly. They gave the town a sassy-if-strange new name, opened a few shops, and . . .voila! Now elk salt & pepper shakers, back scratchers and money clips have put the town of Bugling Bulls on the map. With eight-hundred pound elk waltzing through town at their whim and treating local gardens like their personal farmer's market, they're loved and hated with equal fervor. They're called "majestic creatures" buy most, and to sanitize a little, "those freaking elk" by others.

Amateur sleuth, Caitlyn Cross Rhodes, owner if the Schnitzel Haus Restaurant, is poised to guide you through town, introducing you to gossip, murder and mayhem. Hope you enjoy your stay in the Pennsylvania Wilds!
